Home Prices Inching Up!
Based on the latest Case-Shiller Indices, Home prices are inching up for the past 4 months in many markets
Based on a report by Inman News on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, the latest Case-Shiller Indices indicate that home prices are “inching up” for the past 4 months in many major markets. It could be that we have finally reached the bottom of the price declines on residential real estate. This report should send a signal to prospective home buyers, that now may be the best time to commit to a home that at least meets their needs, if not their dreams.
The fact that only two of the 20 metro areas tracked by the Case-Shiller in their “20-City Composite Analysis” saw month-to-month price declines in the latest report is encouraging. Looking back a year ago, 18 out of 20 metro areas saw annual price declines, which ranged as high as 8.4 percent to 9.1 percent.
While local markets can vary from the 20-City Composite tracked by Case-Shiller, it is time to talk with your REALTOR today about the exceptional buys in the Plateau Region of Cashiers, Highlands, Lake Glenville, Sapphire, and Lake Toxaway.
